Nicole Holden is vice president of the client advisory practice at The Alliance Group, where she oversees a professional practice delivering expert accounting services to public, private, and private-equity-backed companies across government contracting, technology, and life-sciences sectors.

Holden is an accomplished financial and governance professional and a Qualified Financial Expert, specializing in emerging growth for multi-national companies. She has served as audit committee chair for Mainz Biomed (Nasdaq: MYNZ) and Nerds On Site (CSE: NERD) and has been a member of nominating and governance and compensation committees. Her board contributions include improving audit committee performance, managing crises, and planning leadership succession.

Holden’s career spans significant regulatory and corporate roles, including positions at the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) and the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). She has also held leadership roles at Enviva Inc. and KPMG LLP, where she developed deep expertise in financial reporting, SEC compliance, and transaction advisory. During her tenure at the PCAOB and the Center for Audit Quality, Holden focused on enhancing audit quality by contributing to the development of a framework for audit quality indicators, aiming to establish industry consensus and provide measurable insights into auditor performance.

Holden earned her master of science in accounting with a concentration in information systems from American University’s Kogod School of Business. She is a Certified Public Accountant in Washington, DC, and is passionate about advancing excellence in corporate governance. Holden is also an active member of NACD.
