Michael A. Daniels acts with honor, character, and integrity in all that he does. Trustworthiness and a strong work ethic are always at the core of his actions.

Daniels has served on the board of CACI International Inc. (NYSE: CACI) in various capacities since 2013. He is currently board chair and chair of the executive and the human resources and compensation committees. In the past, he chaired the culture committee and served as vice chair of the board. He has also been a board director for Blackberry Ltd. (NYSE: BB) since 2014, including as chair of the corporate nominating and governance committee, and as a board director for Two Six Technologies since 2017.

His previous board service is extensive, including as board chair of Two Six Labs, Invincea, the Logistics Management Institute, GlobalLogic, and the Virginia Workforce Council. Daniels’s work on the Virginia Chamber of Commerce earned him the organization’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024 as well as being named a Top Business Leader in Northern Virginia, and the Northern Virginia Technology Council recognized his work with its Lifetime Achievement Award in 2017. In addition, he has served as both board chair and CEO for Mobile365 and for Network Solutions (Nasdaq: NSOL).

His career has spanned the public and private sectors. From 1986 to 2004, Daniels was senior vice president of the Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC); he coauthored Names, Numbers, and Network Solutions: The Monetization of the Internet with Robert Beyster, the founder of SAIC. He has also worked for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and the White House National Security Council. He has been a member of the US Trade Representative’s International Investment Advisory Committee and the US National Commission for UNESCO.

Daniels’s values and leadership were first honed with the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), with which he has been active his entire life. As a young man, he earned the Distinguished Eagle Scout Award and has since also been awarded the Silver Beaver Award and the BSA Lifetime Achievement Award. He has also given back to the organization by serving as president, chair, director, and member of the executive committee of the National Capital Area Council.

Other honors have included being named to the Professional Services Council Greater Washington Government Contracting Hall of Fame in 2022 and to the Greater Washington Business Hall of Fame in 2019. He has received the Mike Devine Hall of Fame Award and the Earle C. Williams Leadership in Technology Award. He was also a 2019 NACD Directorship 100™ honoree.

Daniels earned a bachelor of science and a master of arts from Northwestern University and a law degree from the Missouri School of Law.
