Kris Pederson has vast experience in corporate governance from serving as a director for public and private companies and large associations as well as leading the EY Center for Board Matters. She is qualified to serve as chair or member in nominating and governance, audit, compensation and talent, and technology committee roles.

Kris’s corporate board service includes corporate director and audit committee member of Great Western Bank (New York Stock Exchange: GWB), board member of Windward Reports, and advisory director of Microplas, a subsidiary of Nypro. She also serves on large association boards, including the National Football League Alumni Association, Harvard Alumni Board, and the NACD Colorado Chapter board.

Kris has been a leader of the Americas EY Center for Board Matters since 2021. Kris directs the firm’s engagement with boards, committees, and directors to address an increasingly complex and global business environment.

Kris has extensive global leadership experience managing governance and strategy businesses at a Fortune 50 company and at two of the world’s most prestigious professional services firms. As governance leader at EY Consulting (2019–2021), Kris was a board expert bringing strategic topics to directors. She also served as the consulting leader to long-term value and environmental, social, and governance teams. As strategy practice leader (2014–2019) and customer advisory practice leader (2015–2019) at EY Americas, Kris was responsible for profit and loss management. She grew the business from $21 million and 80 people to more than $250 million and more than 1,000 practitioners in the United States, Canada, South America, and Israel as part of a $4 billion business consulting unit. She founded EY’s purpose-led transformation organization. As vice president at IBM (2002–2014) and senior partner at PwC (1996–2002), Kris ran various strategic transformation practices, including the strategy arm of a $7 billion business unit and several global and Americas management consulting practices.

Using her digital transformation expertise, as internal auditor (1989–1996) at Consolidated Electrical Distributors, Kris executed transformations focused on technology, operations, and business strategy alignment as well as customer experience and artificial intelligence governance for clients.

Kris regularly speaks at conferences and in the media on topics such as board effectiveness, governance trends and best practices, strategy, purpose, corporate transformation, employee engagement, value realization, diversity, and the governance of emerging technology.

Honors and recognitions include NACD Directorship 100™, Leading Governance Professional (2022 and 2023), Consulting Magazine Lifetime Achievement Award (2016), and Consulting Magazine Top 25 Consultant (2007).
