Frank Kurre is a managing director who leads Protiviti’s global board governance, CEO, and alumni programs. Frank has deep experience advising boards, board committees, and management teams on an array of strategic, risk, finance, and accounting matters. He has led a number of his firm’s strategic initiatives focused on revenue growth, account management, client development, private equity, and the global public sector business. He also serves as a mentor to many of Protiviti’s leaders.
Over the course of his 40-year career, Frank has provided audit and consulting services to many Fortune 1000, Russell 1000, and Russell 2000 public companies, as well as to prominent higher education and not-for-profit organizations. Frank has deep relationships with more than 100 public and private company board members and extensive experience advising more than 200 boards on board governance, leadership development and succession, strategy setting, enterprise risk management, finance, financial reporting, internal audit, and other topics.
Frank has assisted dozens of board candidates in developing their board résumés and strategizing with them on how to position themselves for board service. The relationships he has cultivated uniquely qualify him for his responsibilities at Protiviti, as he works with the firm’s leaders and account teams on projects of strategic importance to the firm, including expansion of the firm’s deep relationships globally.
Frank has also been widely published this past year with 12 thought leadership articles in several board-related publications, including Protiviti’s Board Perspectives, The Corporate Board, Directors and Boards, and Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance.
