Dannetta Bland is the leader of Accenture’s board effectiveness practice. She also sits on the North America sustainability executive leadership team. In these roles, Dannetta leads global teams of senior leaders with deep expertise and fluency at the intersection of corporate governance with sustainability, environmental, social, and governance, and with responsible artificial intelligence. She brings decades of experience in coaching, advising, and educating private, public, and nonprofit board members, as well as current and aspiring directors and executives, on CEO succession and transition, recruitment, assessment, and development.

Prior to joining Accenture, Dannetta served as vice chancellor and chief diversity officer at the University of North Texas System after spending 17 years in Big Four consulting firms, where she held a variety of client-facing leadership roles in strategy and innovation, energy transition, crisis management, and board effectiveness.

Dannetta currently serves as the advisory board chair of Texas Christian University’s Neely School of Business. She founded the Women’s Energy Network Global Foundation and sits on the boards of the Visiting Nurse Association of Texas, which provides hospice, palliative care, and meals on wheels services, and of the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
