Beth Axelrod is currently a board director at Heidrick & Struggles International Inc. (Nasdaq: HSII) and YETI Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: YETI). Beth sits on the advisory council of the Clayman Institute for Gender Research at Stanford University and the board of senior advisors at No One Left Behind. She also serves as an advisor to several venture funds. 

Beth has held senior human resources (HR) leadership and executive team roles at three global corporations. Most recently, she served for more than 4½ years as Airbnb’s global head of employee experience. Previously, she spent a decade leading HR for the combined eBay and PayPal. She started her HR career as WPP Group’s chief talent officer, also serving as an executive director on their board. 

Prior to her career in HR, Beth spent 12 years at McKinsey & Co. where she was a partner serving clients’ strategy and organization needs. She led the firm’s second generation of research titled “The War for Talent,” and is a coauthor of the book, The War for Talent. She also coled the firm’s organization practice. Beth started her career in investment banking. 

She holds a bachelor of science degree in engineering with a concentration in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a master’s degree in public and private management from the Yale School of Management, where she was honored by being named a Donaldson Fellow.
